Cut Vehicle Wrap Films Without Damaging Paintwork – with the WrapDefender Safety Knife

The WrapDefender is the first safety knife specifically designed for vehicle wrapping professionals. Thanks to its protective nose positioned in front of the blade, it helps prevent damage to vehicle paint, glass, rubber seals, trim parts, and other sensitive surfaces.

Trimming already-installed vehicle wrap films always carries the risk of damaging the substrate with the blade. This is especially true when cutting in body panel gaps, door seams, around headlight housings, or exterior mirrors, where conventional knives can easily penetrate too deeply and leave scratches or other minor damage that require time-consuming repairs.

The WrapDefender significantly reduces this risk. Its ultra-sharp scalpel blade is protected by the specially designed cutting head, while the plastic safety nose prevents the blade from penetrating too deeply. This allows installers to cut radii and trim film inside wheel arches, for example, without damaging the paintwork. The tool is particularly useful for paint protection film (PPF) installations and full vehicle wraps.
